I blame National Geographic for this gross misconception about South Africa. Every single time they show Africa, it's all veld and naked painted women in the bush! Oh, and lions of course. "Look at the gazelle grazing. Here comes the lion in for the kill"
You know, we do have some very big cities! We have asphalt streets and running water and actual houses made out of actual bricks, people!!!!!
How about you Google Cape Town or Johannesburg just once and see the glory that is South Africa! If nothing else, at least District 9 should show that South Africa has got more than just lions running around eating naked black people. And gazelles. Can't forget about those stupid gazelles.
